A Kilalinda Trust has been formed to protect the wildlife and educate the Wakamba people in the conservation and the protection of their environment. The Trust is financed partly by Kilalinda’s revenues; Conservation Fees that Kilalinda charges its guests and donations.

Kilalinda Wildlife Conservancy is currently preparing for the reintroduction of game to the area, animals that were greatly depleted by poaching during the 1970’s & 80’s.  We have a team of trained game scouts who patrol the area and who also educate the local Wakamba school children on the importance of conserving their heritage.  We are at present in discussions with experts to introduce Black Rhino, which once roamed freely in great numbers, back to our area.

Kilalinda supports Misani Primary School, which is located on the outskirts of the wildlife conservancy. The school initially started with 15 students and in the last year has increased to 60 students aged between 6 and 12 years old.

Our aim is to enhance the facilities at the school and provide necessary equipment, i.e. text and exercise books, pens, pencils, chalk, desks and chairs, to enable the students to continue with their education.

So far we have built accommodation for the teachers and installed a new water tank.  An administration block is currently under construction.

Future projects include the renewal of the main building roof, and desks and chairs for the classrooms.

Any donations for the above projects would be greatly appreciated.
